The Coaching desk

A desk for the club's coaches: the sessions ahead with who is booked, a named coach on each session as it has a keyholder, and who actually came, ticked on the night, walk-ins included. Courses are a thing of their own now: beginners, improvers or anything else, with a cohort to enrol and sign off, a coach, places, and the sessions that belong to it.
The brief says which sessions are yours this week and how many are booked, which have no coach named, which courses have places left or end this week, who joined this month and who has gone quiet. Coaches can message a session's bookees and a course's members from the message centre, and tasks given to the coach seat land here.

10 October 2026

Automatic 252s

A club can switch on Automatic 252s in Settings: the first three dozen arrows at a distance of an imperial round, at or over your bow's 252 score for that distance, earn the 252 for it. No separate 252 round needed.
The scoring app celebrates it as it lands, on the arrow that completes those three dozen, and the badge is granted with the round on the club page.

10 October 2026

Write to other clubs

The message centre has a new audience, Other clubs: the published contact addresses of over a thousand UK archery clubs, by your county, your region, within 25 or 50 miles of your ground, or hand-picked. An organiser's open shoot gets an Invite other clubs door on the Events desk, with the words started.
Manners are built in. A club is written to at most once a fortnight by any one club, forty at a time, replies come to your club's own address, and every mail carries a one-click way for the other club to stop them. A club that asks is never written to again.

10 October 2026

The desks, tightened

A comment on a task now tells its owner by mail, and the reviewer too when the task is waiting on them. The morning brief says which of your tasks have a new word on them.
A task waiting on the reviewer for more than three days reads red, on the brief and on the row. And the verdict is the reviewer's alone at the database as well as on the page.
Checklists are yours to shape: under Task owners in Settings, untick what your club never does for an open shoot or a club shoot and add what it always does, with its owning seat. The Committee Room can wear a look of its own too.

10 October 2026

A Yorkshire rose and the hood for your score boxes

In the scoring app's look settings, the arrow boxes can now be a Yorkshire rose: five petals with the sepal points between. For Tristan's county, and anyone else's.
And the hood itself: the outer edge of the Logginhood mark, peak up, flap on the left. The shape that used to be called Hood was the bolt from the icon, so it is now called Bolt. Nobody's chosen shape changes.

9 October 2026

Task owners, and the empty seat

Under Page access in the club's Settings there is now a second grid, Task owners: which seat owns each kind of task an event's checklist raises, which of them the chairman approves before they count as done, and who reviews. Defaults are ticked, so a club that never touches it runs as before.
A seat nobody holds hands its tasks to the chairman until someone is given the role, and then they move to that person on their own. The same for seats whose desk is not live yet. No task sits with nobody.

9 October 2026

The Events desk

A desk for the tournament organiser (and the secretary): every competition and event the club hosts on one calendar, who is in each, the doors to message them and a checklist behind every event. Set it up and each task lands on the role that owns it, so the Archery GB sanction sits with the secretary and the judge with the organiser, whoever holds the seat this year.
Tasks that need the chairman's eye go up for review when their owner ticks them; the chairman approves or returns them with a note from the Committee Room. Every task carries a thread, so the committee can talk it through where the task is.
A planned event stays on the committee's desks until "Show on the club calendar" is ticked, so members only see it once it is settled. And the Secretary and Events desks can wear a look of their own: Plain, or the ruled Scoresheet.

9 October 2026

One price for clubs, free until the new year

The Committee Room is £222 a year for every club, whatever its size, in place of the four bands by member count. And it is free until 1 January 2027: every registered club has it switched on until the outdoor year turns. Scoring and the club's own pages stay free for every archer.

8 October 2026

The Black Tassel, for every club

A monthly handicap ladder for clubs, modelled on Phoenix Bowmen's Black Tassel. Switch it on and name it in Settings, Records. Every recognised round a member shoots in a calendar month, indoor and outdoor together, is read on the 1440 scale against the handicap they held on the first of the month, so 1440 is shooting to your handicap and more is better. The month's score is the average of each archer's high, low and mean. Three rounds in the month to be placed; a bow counts once it has six rounds behind it; 252s stay out, they are an award of their own.
The month so far sits on the club Overview with the leader and your own place. Trophies holds the full table for any of the last twelve months, with each archer's rounds a click away. The past winners sit underneath with their tassels: Black for a win, Black and Red for two months running, Black and Gold for three or more.
Nothing is stored: the ladder is worked out from the scores every time, so a late round or a corrected one simply shows.

Badges, earned again each season

My club, Badges now works the way Archery GB does: a badge is earned when the classification is held, three qualifying scores in a season, not when one good score touches the line. The lower badges come with it. This season shows what you hold now. Any season shows the highest you have ever held and names the season.
Outdoor and Indoor each have their own ladder on the tab: nine badges outdoors with Elite Master Bowman at the top, eight indoors. It used to show indoor only.
The next badge shows how far along you are: qualifying scores so far out of three, arrows out of the required count, the scores that qualified and your club's rule on which sessions count.
The rounds listed under the next badge are the rounds you shoot with that bow, most shot first, each with the score it needs. The club's other sanctioned rounds sit behind a fold in your chosen round order. The old list was the three shortest rounds, unexplained.
The badge shop is open. Clubs stock the standard badges, indoor and outdoor classifications and the 252 Award at each distance, set a price and take orders from the tab. The Order buttons had been missing since launch; they are back. Club awards you have been confirmed for, the 252s among them, get their own section with an Order button where the club stocks the badge.
A Female archer who shoots Open is judged on the Open tables here too. This tab was the one place still reading the old gender field.

6 October 2026

Your bows, side by side

Shoot more than one bow and the dashboard grows a tab per bow, your profile bow first. The best performance, handicap and classification dials and the classification tracker all follow the tab. Before, every number was pinned to the bow on your profile. A round shot with another bow could even count towards it.
Best performance replaces the raw personal best: the round with the lowest handicap, named with its handicap, so a Portsmouth can beat a York. The longest round you ever shot is no longer the only one that could win the card. John Frank: "Personal best here is always going to be the longest round you shot."
Personal bests show each round's handicap, with a switch to sort by handicap instead of score.
Recent form has a round picker. It opens on the round you have shot most this season, or the most recent. It remembers your choice on that device. John again: "Why has it selected Bray, is there a way to change that?"
Progress, Handicap view, opens on All rounds: every round you have shot with one bow, outdoor or indoor, as points on the handicap scale with your maintained rating as the dashed line. By round brings the old chart back. John asked for his handicap over time across every compound round he has shot. This is it.

5 October 2026

A classification is held, not shot once

The dashboard's Classification card shows the classification you hold: three qualifying scores in a season. Toggle between the highest ever held and this season. The best any single score earned sits underneath, named as exactly that. John Frank: "I have shot at B2 only once so haven't got B2 yet."
The tracker's box reads Held this season. It follows your club's rule on which session types earn each level, the same rule the per-score labels use. It used to carry a rule of its own and could disagree with the labels on the same screen.
The Class column on the club Scores tab and on World rankings shows the class each score earned. Outdoor rounds on the rankings used to wear the archer's best indoor class, so a Bristol V could read IB3.

2 October 2026

The plot reads the group

Plot your arrows in the app and the live plot reads the group: a cross at the face centre, a group centre that moves with every arrow, the one-sigma ellipse and a ring round each flier. Two toolbar buttons switch them off. At the end of each end, one sentence says what the group is doing and one hint says what to try.
The website's round page carries the same sentence, from the saved points.
Plotted arrows draw neon green with a black outline, on the live plot, its loupe, the history viewer and the website, so they read against every ring colour.
My Setup gains the draw hand: which hand pulls the string on each bow. The plot asks once, the first time a left-or-right sentence needs it, because every such read mirrors for a left-hander.

1 October 2026

Rounds in Archery GB's order

Every round list, picker and filter, on the site and in the app, now runs in the order Archery GB lists rounds: by family, longest first, as in the Rules of Shooting and the classification tables. York at the top, then Hereford, down to the short metrics. A to Z is one switch away in Settings on both.
The club fact sheet shows the two club films under its opening: the full film for a committee meeting and the 35-second cut for the group chat.

30 September 2026

The club fact sheet

A fact sheet for secretaries at logginhood.com/for-clubs: what registering a club means for the secretary and for the members, what is free and what the club pays for, the questions secretaries ask, printable for a committee. Asked for by Adam after a shoot.
The session type of a saved round can be changed on the website: Practice, Competition, UKRS or WRS from a dropdown on the round page, with the classification label following. For the round shot as a competition and saved as practice. The phone takes the change on its next pull.

29 September 2026

Imports speak other apps' names

Bringing scores in from another app: round names such as National (Long) and Portsmouth (triple) land on our rounds, classifications written in words become our codes and a compound Metric 122-50 is no longer renamed to the compound 720. The app reads them the same way.

28 September 2026

The end timer and three golds for longbows

An optional Start and Finish button on the scoring sheet times your own shooting, end by end, separate from the line's pace and from how long scoring took. The sheet and history show each end's time. Charts gains Your pace, a chart of what rushing or dwelling costs you.
Three gold end for longbows: the third gold in a six-arrow end outdoors sets off the gold moment, the sheet tags the end 3 GOLD and at a badge distance for your age group the banner names the Archery GB claim. Every other bow still needs all six. Gold end claims now know where they were shot: flagged only outdoors at one of the two longest distances for your age group, with the distance named. Asked for by David Thornton of Phoenix Bowmen.
Session notes on a round can be written and edited on the website, the same note the app shows. Toby asked.
Arrow sets travel: the set a round was shot with syncs to the cloud by name, rounds already in the cloud get theirs filled in and the website's history shows the set next to the bow. A saved round in the app gets an Arrows picker, so the set can be put right after the fact.

27 September 2026

Charts grow up

Charts gets a Handicap mode: each round's handicap plotted per session, with the maintained Archery GB rating as a dashed line when one season's rounds are selected. The same engine the website uses.
Split by bow on the Progress chart plots each bow you shoot a round with as its own line, so a recurve PB and a barebow PB on the same round stop cancelling each other out.
An arrow-set filter above the tab strip: all arrows by default, pick a set to see only the rounds shot with it, across every Charts sub-tab.
Your temp tax joins Your wind tax: average end score by air temperature. Tapping an end in history shows its temperature next to its wind. Tristan was cold at the club shoot.

26 September 2026

DT on the sheet

Each distance section of the score sheet ends with a DT, the total for that distance alone, next to the cumulative RT.
A distance with no sight mark shows NA on the sheet and can be set from there, so Show marks always has something to show.

22 September 2026

Long Metric tables and an iPhone that listens

Long Metric (90m) and (70m) carry their Archery GB classification tables. WA 1440 (60m) is accepted as Metric II, the same round with identical tables.
Voice scoring on iPhone: no restart into a blocked microphone, one utterance at a time on iOS with a beat between them and a plain message when the mic is refused. A member's "allow Safari, then a crash".
Score sheets: the archer drop-down reads surname first, so its order looks alphabetical.

20 September 2026

Your club's rounds

The club decides which rounds count. Settings, Records, Club rounds is a tick list: every round with an Archery GB handicap table is on by default, the 252s and WA Combined off. Public records, the embed, the club site, My club's records, scores, ladders and audit, club-hosted competitions and officer imports all honour it.
The app's round picker tags a round that is not a club round, offers a Club rounds only tick box and says that such a round stays in your history and off the club boards.

19 September 2026

Why the password was refused

Sign-up and reset say the whole rule up front: at least 8 characters, mixing upper and lower case with a number. A refusal says which rule failed: a known breach, a missing character class or length. Mike Wilson's "too easy" was the breach check.
An expired invite link reads as routine, with an Email me a fresh link button.

16 September 2026

Competitions in the app

The app has a Competitions section: every format, Yours and Open to enter, one verb per row. Enter a postal, sign up and score an in-person comp, enter a virtual one. In-person scoring runs on the same end log as the web, with a Confirm tap per end. The organiser's scorer card on the website links straight to it.
Indoor metric rounds are six-arrow ends on the web too: Portsmouth, WA 18m, WA 25m, Stafford and WA Combined now match the app.
The app's header clears the phone's status bar, so the Back button is a full-height target. Paul found the top half of it dead.

15 September 2026

Open and Female

Archery GB's tables now say Open and Female. So does Logginhood: everywhere a classification, ranking, record or competition category was labelled Male it now reads Open. The scores behind them have not moved. The issue we hold is Archery GB's May release, 2026-1. A weekly check will tell us the day that changes.
The gender question at signup is now the one you answered at your Archery GB renewal. It is required: an unanswered profile used to be read quietly as Male. A Female archer can tick I shoot in the Open category on the welcome page or her profile and every classification, ranking and record follows.
The classification calculator says which issue of the tables it shows.
Four rounds carry Archery GB's new names: WA 1440 (90m) and (70m), Long Metric (90m) and (70m), in place of Gents and Ladies. Same rounds, same scores, same tables. Old names on an installed app or a bookmark still land on the right round.
No age band, no classification. A score saved before you gave a date of birth used to be judged quietly on the Senior table; it now saves with no classification and the dashboard says why. Add your date of birth and every past score gets its proper class in one go, the same when your gender changes.
In-person scoring: the value pad stays put. The spot-prize hint used to appear after the first arrow and push the pad down a line under your thumb; it now sits below the buttons from the start. And a competition score now carries the archer's age band, so a 60+ archer is classified on the 60+ table rather than the Senior one.

3 September 2026

The Secretary desk opens

The committee is now a thing your club controls. Club settings gained a Committee card where the chairman ticks who sits on it: every officer role counts by default, any member can be added and anyone can be taken off without touching their role. The message centre grew a Committee audience to match. The Fees due audience it had been quietly refusing to send to works at last.
Behind its own door at My club, the Secretary desk gathers the secretary's morning: website enquiries, applications waiting, documents about to expire, the committee list and the next thirty days. The Committee Room counts unread enquiries on a chip. The secretary and chairman get an email the moment one arrives. The desk has its own row in the Page access grid, so a club can hand it to whoever actually does the job.
Meetings live on the desk: committee, AGM, EGM or anything else. Each one holds its agenda (items members suggest, accepted or declined, items officers add and matters arising carried over from the last meeting), an action log with owners and due dates and the buttons a secretary really presses: ask the committee for items, send the agenda, mark it as held, link the minutes from the vault and publish them. Published minutes are readable by every approved member, as the club ruled.
Every club now has its own mail address on in.logginhood.com, shown on the desk with forwarding recipes for Gmail and Outlook. Forward the club's mailbox there and it lands on the desk unread first, with a link back to the original message. Reply to an agenda call and your reply lands on that meeting as a suggested item. We keep the headers and a short snippet, never a mailbox password. The address carries a short suffix so it cannot be guessed from the club's name. The receiving side is being connected as this goes up, so mail starts landing the moment it is live.
Uploading a document to the vault used to fail silently past about a megabyte. The ceiling is now twelve, with a plain message if you go over it.
The Score audit's card that said Unknown round: 107 now says No classification. Hover it and the count splits by cause: rounds Archery GB does not classify (Frostbite and the 252s), an archer with no gender on their profile and rounds our tables had never been generated for. That last group is gone: 1,024 new threshold rows cover the Warwick family, Metric 122 at 50, 40 and 30, the New and Long Westerns and every AGB 900, checked against the live Metric III tables, 64 of 64.
And the database itself moved onto a bigger engine overnight, with a fresh backup taken first. Nothing changes on your side except a little more headroom.

2 September 2026

Bigger text, faster pages

Members asked for bigger text and bigger buttons. The honest answer was that the app ignored your phone's own text setting entirely: every one of its 583 font sizes was pixel-locked. They are all relative now, so the accessibility setting on your phone finally applies. On top of that, the Archer tab gained a Text size picker as the first card under Theme: Eagle eye, Default, Big, Large and Barn door. It greets new archers at the top of the welcome wizard too, so you can grow the wizard before you read it. It saves with your theme.
Score sheet cells now size themselves from the width of your screen, not the height: square, thumb-sized and never the flat little planks the old fit-everything squeeze produced on a phone. The sheet scrolls. The end you are shooting scrolls itself into view.
A round-progress bar sits above the sheet with one segment per distance, filling as ends complete. A line beneath it reads 7 ends to go · 3 at 60 yds. It lives outside the sheet on purpose, so Hide totals never hides your place in the round.
Worcester and NFAA 300 wear their own faces on both keypad and sheet: white spot, black rings for the Worcester and blue for the NFAA. The five-zone keypad had been colouring a Worcester 5 blue, as if it were a metric 5. The sheet was dressed as a Portsmouth.
A six gold end now means what Archery GB means by it: every arrow in the gold ring, so 9s count on ten-zone and imperial faces and X 9 10 10 9 X earns the fireworks. Worcester and NFAA faces have no gold ring and never fire. The claim reminder only appears outdoors and now says the two-longest-distances condition out loud.
The 252 badge scheme came alive. The seven 252 rounds, 20 to 100 yards, join the app's round picker as real rounds instead of home-made ones. The site scores them against the proper per-bowstyle thresholds: 252 for recurve, 280 for compound, with barebow and longbow on their own ladders. Scores already shot under hand-typed names have been moved across. The first badges showed up in real data the same evening. Whether a claim needs the score twice is your club's ruling; until they make it, one pass shows.
Signed-in pages got much faster, in three moves. The site was rendering every page in Washington while the database lives in Frankfurt, so each query paid an Atlantic crossing; it now renders next door. Then every page stopped making a round trip to ask who you are (your session is verified locally instead). Then queries that never depended on each other were made to run together across fifty pages. My club went from four seconds to under one.
The honest record: the Competitions page had been failing for every signed-in visitor since 23 August. A missing import on the signed-in path, hidden by an error page that reported success, so nothing flagged it. Found today, fixed within the hour. The lint rule that would have caught it on day one is now switched on. The smoke test visits that page signed in from now on. Sorry.
A founder who was their club's only chairman could demote themselves and lock the club out of its own settings. It happened. The last chairman-grade member of a club can no longer be demoted.
Anonymous page-speed measurement joined the cookie-free analytics, so we can see which pages feel slow for real members without knowing who they are. The Privacy notice names it.

1 September 2026

Forty-three rounds by name

The Archery Score Sheets importer learned another 23 round names from a Phoenix archer's own ledger, 43 in all. Run against his two and a half years of shooting, 61 of 62 sessions now resolve without a question. The one that remains is a 252 with no distance in the file. The wizard asks once and remembers. Dialects learned along the way: 900 40/30 is AGB 900-40/30, Vegas is Vegas (Triple Face) and Metric 122-40 is WA 40m.

31 August 2026

Your club's name for the job

Post titles: clubs can now give a role holder the title the club actually uses, shown wherever the role label appears, from the officer cards on the public club page to the roster badge, fees lines, Committee Room and message centre headers and the club backup. The permission role underneath is untouched, so a Membership Secretary keeps exactly the powers a secretary has. Edit it from the roster under Edit member details.
Imports from Archery Score Sheets now carry the bow that shot each score. The backup links every score to a setup. The decoder maps setups to bow styles, proven by a real export that switches setups on exactly the day the club ledger says the archer went from recurve to barebow. An archer who changed styles now imports with each era classified under the right bow.

30 August 2026

Joined on

Memberships carry a true join date. Rolling-subs clubs charge on the anniversary and Archery GB renews each archer twelve months from joining, so the roster now shows it, fees rows use it and the club backup carries it. Officers correct dates in one save-all form on the roster. Only the rows they changed are written. The first brick of a renewals radar.

26 August 2026

Midnight, honestly

Between midnight and one in the morning during British Summer Time, the site thought today was yesterday. Score forms defaulted to the wrong date and, worse, a score entered after midnight was refused as being in the future. Forty-one places were swept onto two rules, your browser's own day for forms and London's day on the server. The dashboard's month and season starts, which were a month out in that hour, came right with them.
The app had the same hour: a round scored at half past midnight was dated the day before. The Progress heatmap had been quietly shifting every cell back a day all summer. Both fixed.

25 August 2026

Lily tells it

The films were re-cut with a new voice. Lily narrates the archer reel, now with the wind suite, the history scroll, the postal league and a tease of the podium. The club film gained a beat on the website that outlives the webmaster. Two nutshells join them: For the Archer in 33 seconds and For the Club in 35. All of it at logginhood.com/reel.
Share the gold is readable on the site at /reel/gold: why scoring is free, how pooled answers work, the ten-archer floor, the 10p promise and the receipts. The footer's Share the gold line now leads there from every page.
The committee reel caught up with the last fortnight: the Page access grid, the year planner, the postal league and the notice board. The invite beat now shows the QR code on the applications page where it actually lives.
Shop: add photos when you add a product, up to eight, instead of saving first and hunting for the image control afterwards.
Housekeeping with our name on it: the tenant-isolation pen-test was run again from scratch, 26 probes and no leaks. A new probe proves the Page access grid holds at the database: defaults, overrides, grants and revokes alike. Every push to the site now lints, builds and runs a smoke suite against a seeded world before anyone notices.

23 August 2026

Archery GB's numbers stay Archery GB's

The classification thresholds tab in the Score audit is read-only for records keepers now. The tables are Archery GB's and shared by every club. The database had been refusing officer edits all along, so the edit buttons were only pretending. Keepers keep the full breakout for checking a claim by eye; the edit controls show only for platform admins.

22 August 2026

Enter, then Go

Postal competitions grew a front door. You Enter first, one tap and free, then Go when you're ready to shoot. It means the host can see who's in before the window even opens, the way a real postal league runs, so the roster fills up over the week instead of everyone piling in at the death. Entered by mistake, or the weekend fell through? Withdraw any time before your first arrow, no harm done.
The host's ledger now shows how long each round took, start to finish. A Warwick shot over an afternoon looks like a Warwick. A 144-arrow round finished in under a minute looks like exactly what it is. Nothing accuses anyone, the organiser just reads the shape, sat next to the end-by-end timings that were already there.
Your scores now leave the way they came in: the History page grew an Export CSV button that downloads exactly the rounds you are looking at, filters and all. Date, round, score, hits, golds, bow, classification and an Arrows column in the importer's own shorthand, so the file you export drops straight back in later with every arrow still attached. Your data was always yours, now it has its own door.
The tabs along the top of the app finally line up in tidy rows instead of straggling off the edge like the last three arrows of a bad end.
Your handicap was never going up, it just looked like it. Every round has its own handicap and a rough day has a rougher one, but your actual Archery GB handicap only ever improves within a season and resets from your best three at the season boundary. The engine always did exactly that; now the Progress chart draws your maintained handicap as a line over the per-round points. The records keeper's score sheet gained a Season handicap panel showing the best three rounds and the figure carrying into next season, with the working on show.
Last of the set: gallery management and moderation (removing others' chat messages, seeing photos held for review, extending someone else's notice) are now switches too, so a club can put a coach on moderation or a tournament organiser on the albums without asking us. That makes every committee page in the grid editable. Two things stay where they are by design: the vault's safeguarding files, which belong with the welfare officer and chairman alone. Nothing else.
The Treasurer desk follows: fees, the shop and the inventory join accounts as pages a chairman can hand to any committee seat, with the database honouring the choice.
And the Secretary desk: managing members, the website builder and club news can each be handed to another committee seat. Applications follow the managing-members switch, because approving one is the same power. Everyone can still see the roster; the switch is about who can change it.
The Events desk unlocks too: the calendar, competitions hosting, and, as their own switches, venues and keyholders, because a club may well want those held more tightly than the calendar itself. One quiet fix rode along: hosting a competition is now tied to the club the competition is for, rather than to holding an officer role anywhere.
The Records desk is the first to unlock in that grid: score sheets, the honour board, the classification audit and importing scores for members can now be handed to any committee role. The database honours it, not just the buttons. Two quiet bugs went with it: the audit's Apply only ever updated your own scores (it now updates the members you are auditing). Importing for other members had stopped at the database entirely (it now lands, with every archer checked as a member of your club first).
Chairmen: Club settings gained a Page access grid. Every committee page down the side, grouped by the desk it sits on, the officer roles across the top and a tick where a role can open it, so for the first time you can see your club's whole who-can-do-what on one screen and preview the Committee Room as any role. Accounts is editable today; the other rows show your current access and will unlock for editing one group at a time as we move each page's permissions onto the same switch, so the grid never shows a tick the database would refuse.
A six gold end now gets the moment it deserves. Gold fireworks over the sheet, a buzz in your hand, a GOLD tag that stays on that end for the rest of the round and a banner that waits for you: get a photo of the target before you pull, because that is an Archery GB Six Gold End claim and the site already flags it once the round syncs. Confetti stays reserved for beating your PB, so each celebration keeps meaning something. With thanks to David Stacey, who shot one and felt short-changed.
Imported and paper scores now arrive with their classification worked out, the same way the app does when it saves a round. They used to land blank and queue up in the club's Score audit as discrepancies; Phoenix's backlog has been cleared and new imports will not start another.
The target face got its missing line. On a real face the divider between the two black rings is white, the only white line on the face. Ours drew it dark, so 3 and 4 read as one band. Now they read as two, on every plot, replay and history view, exactly as they do on the boss. A small thing that had been bugging the founder for months, finally straight.
The Committee Room's front doors are now desks. Nine buttons in a row had stopped being a row, so they sit in clusters named for the seat that owns them: Secretary, Treasurer, Records, Shoots and Chairman, yours first. Nothing is hidden, a small club wears three hats, every desk you can act in is on screen. Score sheets joined the Records desk. Members and Applications now lead back to the room you came from.
The calendar's This week lost Friday every summer. The week end was worked out in UTC, which in British Summer Time is yesterday by an hour, so the date slid back a day. Fixed properly. The same slip was quietly painting every event a day early on the month grid, so that is fixed too. This week now means the calendar week, Monday to Sunday, the way the month grid already counts it.
The younger juniors' rounds, Metric 80-40 and Metric 80-30, now carry Archery GB classification tables for every bowstyle. They had handicaps but no classes, so a junior shooting one got a number and no badge. Compound archers at 40 metres also handicap on the 80cm face they actually shot, as their classifications already did.
Compound archers, your 720 has its own name at last. WA 720 (Compound), 72 arrows at 50 metres on the 80cm face, joins the round picker, plots true-size on the right face and reads as the 720 in history, club scores and records instead of hiding inside WA 50m. Handicaps and classifications were already right for it. Any compound WA 50m you have already shot has been moved across. Thanks to David for the nudge and the handicap one above.

The whole year, on one wall

Your club calendar grew a third layer: events. Opens, have-a-go days, county fixtures and your own club comps, each carrying its dates, an entry deadline, a cost and a link to enter. Members mark themselves Going or Interested, officers add and edit. Any member can suggest one for an officer to publish. It threads through the session list and overlays the month grid on its own toggle.
Fold it all up into Year Planner: twelve months on one printable wall, the seasons banded, the Archery GB year marked and every entry deadline flagged. The whole season finally fits on a single sheet of paper.
Public events land on your club's own website too, so a visitor sees what is on and can ask about a guest place. A competition you host on Logginhood mirrors itself onto the calendar without anyone retyping it. Turn on the UK events layer to see fixtures other clubs have shared, then Add to our calendar copies one across in a tap. Shared, never scraped.
The club noticeboard opened for business: For sale, Wanted, Lift share and General. Each notice is its own little chat, so replies land in a thread instead of your inbox. It clears itself after seven days unless you grant it another ten. Under-18s can read a notice an adult has opened to all, though posting stays with the grown-ups.
Events keep time now, with a Meet at and a Sighters at. Setting the meet time quietly offers thirty minutes later for sighters without ever overwriting one you typed. Travelling to a shoot? An event can open its own lift-share room.

19 August 2026

Moving in with your whole history

Switching from the Archery Score Sheets app? Drop its backup file straight into Import scores. It converts entirely in your browser, so your file never leaves your device. Every session arrives with full arrow-by-arrow detail: sixteen months of shooting lands in about the time one end takes to score. Where the old app kept a round's name to itself, a quick picker sorts it. Once one archer names a round the importer remembers it for everyone.
CSV imports can carry arrow detail too: add an Arrows column with each end's values and your spreadsheet history imports as real ends, not just totals. If a row's arrows don't add up to its score we keep the totals and politely decline the arithmetic.
Imported rounds now stand on your club's boards and leaderboards everywhere. They were quietly missing their club membership; every existing score has been re-badged and new imports arrive properly dressed.
The club Scores table sorts by its column headings. It sorts like an archer: classifications rank by ladder, ages by band and scores by number. Click once to sort, again to flip.
Club records now award one podium place per archer: your best score per round, full stop. Finishing first, third and fourth on your own club board was a fine week's work, but the board is for the club.
The session field plan moved behind a View field button and turned to face downfield: shooting line at the bottom, bosses up the field at their distances, exactly as you'd stand on it.
Pressing the target on the Zones chart no longer invites your browser to run an image search. It knows it's a target. It doesn't need a second opinion.
Notes come along for the ride at last: session notes from imports and spreadsheets now save with the score instead of being read once and forgotten.

18 August 2026

The club night plans itself

Booking a session can now say what you plan to shoot. It's optional, changeable any time and it draws the evening on the session card: a little field with a boss at each distance, who's shooting what and how many are deciding on the night. Targets still get settled at the line, by humans, as they should be.
Session cards now carry the venue's forecast for the session hours: temperature, wind and any gusts worth knowing about, appearing as soon as the forecast reaches that day. One less tab to check before you decide.
Progress grew a Handicap view: every round on one scale, so a Portsmouth and a Frostbite finally share a chart and improving still points up. Under the chart, a summary of the selected round: sessions, best, average, trend, handicap then and now, plus how far the next classification stands from your best.
The score importer got a proper toughening-up for club spreadsheets: separate first-name and surname columns combine themselves, Hits has a home at last, dates like 11-Apr land on the right day, AGB round names such as Metric 122-30 file under their platform twins and a stray RC in the bow column reads as Recurve.
Round pickers across Progress now lead with the rounds you actually shoot, counts included. The arrow-zone chart says plainly which rounds its arrows come from when some of your history was saved as totals only.

17 August 2026

Paper scores come home

Score a round on the website now asks one useful question first: Score as you shoot, which opens the app as always, or Add a paper score, a new form for the round you kept on paper. Date, round, score, hits and golds. It counts all the same: history, handicaps, classifications and club records. Live leaderboards stay reserved for rounds scored as they happen.
Club record books name people the way clubs write them, so records officers can now link a book name to the member it belongs to. Linked entries wear the archer's real name on the board. Where the book named the same person differently per bow, both names link to the one archer, whose record lineage finally reads broke their own record instead of inventing a rival.
Linking can also carry a member's dated book entries into their own score history, so a long-standing York from the club book is theirs again: personal bests, handicap history and all. Year-only entries join as history without claiming a season. Anything already in their history is skipped rather than doubled.

16 August 2026

The honour board checks its own handwriting

Paste your club's record book twice and nothing doubles: the honour-board importer now recognises entries already on the board and says so plainly. Imported 12, 3 already on the board, skipped. Re-runs are free, so bring the whole book.
Score checks on the paste now speak each round's dialect: imperial rounds top out at 9 an arrow and a Worcester at 5, so a mistyped score is caught at the preview instead of living on the board.

15 August 2026

The wind learns your name

Chasing your PB is now a live sport. Tap vs PB on the scoring sheet and every end shows exactly where you stand against your best, arrow for arrow, honest even mid-end. The same toggle now lives on every history scoresheet, compared against the PB that stood on the day, so "I was on track till end 8" is finally something the sheet can show you. Thanks to the archer whose screenshots caught the old maths comparing six arrows against twelve: you know who you are.
Outdoor rounds now record the wind end by end, not just once at the start. Each dozen shows the wind it was shot in, the arrow plot carries a live wind arrow while you shoot and tapping an end in history shows the conditions that end faced. Charts gains Your wind tax: your average end score by wind speed, the chart that finally explains a windy plateau.
The app now remembers how wind treats you. Start a round in conditions it has seen before, at the same venue on the same round. It quietly tells you where your plotted groups sat last time: about half a ring left, say. Advice earned from your own arrows, dismissed with one tap.
Planning a shoot? The Home screen's Shooting conditions card draws the next 24 hours of wind as bars and picks out the calmest daylight window by name. Your location is used once to fetch the forecast and never stored.
The scoring sheet had a proper going-over: it now fills your phone edge to edge, sizes itself so a whole round fits on screen with no scrolling, marks each dozen with its running totals in a neat strip and announces every distance change with a bold marker. On big screens the sheet and keypad sit together in one tidy centred column.
Scoring got a little celebration engine. Every arrow lands with a glint in its ring colour, the top ring earns a gold burst, finishing an end at PB pace ripples the row gold and beating your PB brings confetti, once, at the moment it happens. All of it is one-shot and battery-kind, it respects reduced-motion settings and there's a Score sparkle switch in Appearance if you prefer a quiet sheet.
Your scoresheet, your shape: choose Square, Round, Hexagon or Spot cells in Appearance. Spot turns every score into a little target face. Yes, it looks as good as it sounds.
Housekeeping with our name on it: Logginhood now has plain-English Terms of Service at logginhood.com/terms, the Privacy Notice caught up with every service we use and under-13 accounts are now set up together with a parent or guardian, as they should be.

9 August 2026

Postal competitions are here

The classic league format, played straight. A host sets a round and a window, you press Go before your first arrow and shoot at your own range. The sheet locks at the last arrow and submitting is a signature, so a round cannot be shot three times with only the best sent in.
Life happens mid round: stopping is recorded rather than held against you and it uses one of your attempts. Correct a score after the sheet locks and the change is logged for the organiser to see. Evidence, never shame.
Deadlines rule themselves: rounds must be shot inside the competition dates and sent in by the submit-by date. The system applies both, so the organiser never has to judge a late score.
Hosting one: pick Postal when you create a competition, choose how many attempts each archer gets and optionally allow a few days' grace for scores to arrive. Your ledger shows every attempt started, stopped and submitted as it happens.
The Committee Room grew front doors: Members and Applications now sit at the top with a live count on the joining queue. Your own club's pages read Home, My club at the top instead of routing through the public directory.
Prefer your own colours? A new toggle in theme settings keeps your accent on club pages. And club founders can create competitions again instead of being bounced to the pricing page.

8 August 2026

A quiet gate against the bots

Signing up, logging in and resetting your password now carry a Cloudflare Turnstile check, on the website and in the app. Most of the time it solves itself: no traffic lights, no fire hydrants, just a tick.
It keeps automated signups and password-guessing bots off the platform, so your scores and your club's register stay behind doors only humans walk through.

7 August 2026

The honour board comes alive

Your paper honour board belongs on the board: paste decades of club records straight in (commas or a spreadsheet paste both work), edit any entry in place, remove one wherever you spot it and restore it from the recycle bin if you change your mind.
The club roundup: pick any date range and see everything worth celebrating in one place. New faces, records broken, classification firsts, personal bests, podiums and awards, with one click copying the lot as plain text for your newsletter.
Club pages now use a big screen properly: wider layouts that add columns instead of stretching lines, from the Committee Room to the cashbook.
The club film: two and a bit minutes of the Committee Room, from live shoot-day scoring to the one-button backup. Watch and share it at logginhood.com/reel/club.

6 August 2026

The clubhouse gets a treasurer's desk

Club Accounts: a proper cashbook for your treasurer. Type in expenses with a receipt photo attached, watch paid fees, shop sales and kit hire flow in by themselves and keep running balances for the bank and the cash tin. Budgets per category and a print-clean income and expenditure sheet mean the AGM pack writes itself.
Your book is yours to take: download bank and cash tin statements as CSVs that open in Excel and import straight into Xero, QuickBooks or Sage.
One button now backs up your whole club: the register, scores, a print-ready records book, the money, the kit, the calendar and every vault document in a single ZIP. Free for every club, forever; your data is never held to ransom.
Booking a session? Tick “Email me the calendar entry” and your confirmation arrives with a real calendar invitation that Outlook and Gmail add in one tap.
Chairmen can now delegate whole pages to other committee roles, starting with Accounts: hand the books to whoever actually keeps them.

5 August 2026

Make it feel like home

Familiar looks: two one-tap themes in the Archer tab for anyone arriving from another scoring app. Familiar 1 is paper, ink and a bookish serif with white ring-bordered keys; Familiar 2 is a black ground with bold solid-colour keys and orange totals. Start from a look you already know, then make it yours: every colour, key shape and font stays editable.
Your bow setup now records brace height and tiller exactly as you measure them: mm, cm or inches with fractions, converted losslessly. Tiller reads top minus bottom and says positive or negative in plain words.
Enter limb weight and draw length and the app estimates your actual draw weight from the shop rule; weigh it on scales and your measured number takes over.
Plotted arrows now draw at their true diameter on the face. Give an arrow set its shaft size and a fat indoor shaft covers line-cutters the way it does on the boss. A finger loupe magnifies the face under your fingertip while you plot.
Metric 122-50, 122-40 and 122-30 are now first-class round names alongside WA 50m, 40m and 30m: shoot either name and classifications count both.

4 August 2026

Bring your whole history with you

Import your history from another scoring app in one go: screenshot every sheet, select the lot and watch them read one by one. Dates come from your history overview, end-by-end arrows from the detail sheets and the two stitch together automatically.
Built for phones: the screen stays awake for the whole run, photos that stumble retry themselves and anything the AI can't date asks you instead of quietly guessing.
AI photo import is a perk for members of verified clubs. Ask your club to claim its free Logginhood page and verify: it unlocks for every member at once.
Records keepers get live score sheets for every archer: full round log with handicaps, running rating, classifications achieved and a print-clean Save as PDF. The spreadsheet copy-and-paste era is over.
Email links grew manners: confirmation and password links now survive corporate link-scanners and an expired link explains itself instead of dumping you on the login page.

3 August 2026

Your scorecard remembers the wind

Outdoor rounds now record the weather while you shoot: wind, gusts, direction, temperature and rain, powered by MET Norway. It shows on the scoring screen, your results and the round's record forever.
Only the weather is stored, never your location. The app asks for location permission once and explains itself properly if it can't get it.
The location pin on round setup now speaks up when location is blocked instead of silently doing nothing.

2 August 2026

Replay, notes and sharper analysis

Round replay: watch any round land arrow by arrow with the score ticking up. Made for screen-recording straight into the club chat.
Session notes on every round: conditions, tuning, how it felt.
Group analysis in Time Targets: group size in real centimetres, centre offset, fliers, per-end tightness and a first-half vs second-half comparison.
Every round's detail now shows its AGB handicap. Metric scoresheets carry live 10s and Xs columns for the tie-break.
The app offers to join your home screen. The world rankings ask before your scores ever go public. Private by default, always.
Clubs work the moment they're proposed: invite your clubmates and run your club today, verification puts you in the public directory.

1 August 2026

Logginhood is live

The gates opened at 6pm: scoring by touch or voice, arrow plotting on the target face, automatic Archery GB classifications and handicaps, club management, competitions and the world rankings.
Free for every archer. Every arrow tells a story.

What's new

The product moves quickly. This is the honest record.

10 October 2026

7 October 2026

DT on the sheet

Each distance section of the score sheet ends with a DT, the total for that distance alone, next to the cumulative RT.
A distance with no sight mark shows NA on the sheet and can be set from there, so Show marks always has something to show.

21 August 2026
